What is Telangiectasia?

Telangiectasia is a vascular skin lesion that represents a skin defect and is often a symptom of several medical conditions.  Whether hereditary or acquired, they are primarily found on the face and legs and can occur in men and women of all ages. Photoaging and physiological aging phenomena (which also cause dilation of small blood vessels) are almost always constant during dermatitis or in the early stages of rosacea.

The associated telangiectasia is caused by excess contraceptives. However, it can also occur during pregnancy.  Cirrhosis is very often accompanied by vascular cataract telangiectasia. Facial telangiectasia and rosacea are usually less difficult and can be safely treated with many types of lasers, including CO2 laser, which is not a “vascular” laser.  What is the cause?

Oxygenated blood blood flows from the heart through arteries to the extremities, and deoxygenated blood blood returns to the heart through veins using one-way valves. If these “valves” do not function properly, the blood will not glow properly and blood-clogged veins will begin to dilate. These enlarged veins are commonly called “varicose veins” or telangiectasia.

How does it work?

Clinical Skin Clear working is based on the principle that liquids are attracted to heat.  It combines wireless and radiofrequency technology to generate heat through a variety of therapeutic probes. This technique attracts body fluids such as sebum, cholesterol, and blood and dry them out while reducing or removing skin irregularities. Treatment is very quick (sometimes within seconds) and may not even touch the surface of the skin.

The Clinical Skin Clear System works on the principle of radio-vaporization. The Clinical Skin Clear (Lamprobe) system is a non-invasive treatment that uses wireless and radiofrequency technology to remove minor skin imperfections. This technology combines high-frequency and radiofrequency waves that are attracted to fluids on the skin’s surface or within the skin’s irregularities. This allows treatment without penetrating the skin’s surface.Treatments are quick [often within seconds of the application process] and the treatment is tolerable.

Treatment times and costs vary depending on the type and size of the skin lesion being treated. Multiple treatments or longer treatment times may be required to effectively reduce the appearance of the irregularity completely without obvious scarring. There is minimal discomfort and healing time is short, from a day or two for skin tags to a few weeks for larger skin abnormalities such as Fibromas, Cholesterol Deposits, or Milia.

What results can I expect?

Small skin tags and blood spots disappear instantly, and hyperpigmented areas such as liver and “spots” disappear in just a few seconds. This technique is simple, effective, and does not damage surrounding tissue. There is minimal discomfort, and healing time is short, ranging from 1-2 days for skin tags to several weeks for larger skin abnormalities.
